SARF Commemorates Patriot’s Day 2012
May 1st, 2012April 19, 2012 marks the anniversary of the Battles of Lexington & Concord where in 1775 the “shot heard ‘round the world” was fired and marked the start of the American Revolution. To commemorate, the SAR Foundation is offering a 4 inch by 6 inch oval car magnet with the message that contributors of $25 or more are “A Proud Descendant of a Patriot of the American Revolution.” Show you are a patriot and support the patriotic works of SAR with your contribution today! The Treaty of Paris, signed on September 3, 1783, ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain on one side and the United States of America and its allies on the other. The other combatant nations, France, Spain and the Dutch Republic had separate agreements; for details of these, and the negotiations which produced all four treaties. Its territorial provisions were "exceedingly generous" to the United States in terms of enlarged boundaries.
